I am absolutely ecstatic to announce that I will be part of the Seattle Running Club Brooks Team for 2015!
The selection was meaningful in many ways and I have a lot of people to thank. Seattle Running Club has been an important piece of my life since moving back to Seattle. Running is a huge part of my identity and SRC has been exactly what I needed in my transition. The community, positive energy, and trail focus are a few components of the club that simply can not be matched elsewhere. In the short time I have been a part of the club it has helped me to grow as a better runner and regain my focus in racing. Joining the Brooks Team is an honor and one step further in the direction of the competitive, well-rounded runner I strive to be.
Thanks to Eric Sach and my other co-workers at The Balanced Athlete who fuel my love for trail running and keep me in tune with all the latest gear and get-up. Thanks to Trisha Steidl who has a strong face in Seattle Running Club and will be leading the Brooks Team as the team manager. Thanks to my husband, who now has a superhero image in Seattle (at least through my eyes) and I can only strive to reach the heights he has by influencing the running community. I plan to represent the running community in the most positive and whole-hearted fashion. Here's to running happy in 2015!
I am an outdoor and travel junkie who is currently completing my doctorate in occupational therapy overseas in rural Fiji. On Sweet World Travels you will find stories of my life with my husband, the communities we serve, and the many adventures we take.
